Let your Yoga Journey begin here….

At “My Ashram Yoga” I will teach you Asanas (body postures), Pranayama (control of vital energy through breath control) and Meditative techniques to reduce stress and build control.

The Perfect Surrounding

My “Ashram Yoga” is a cosy studio in the grounds of a secluded 17th Century Farm House.  It is set within a beautiful garden among trees and fields so that you feel instantly connected to nature.

During the summer months classes will be held outside (weather permitting!)

I provide small, friendly nurturing groups where you will meet like-minded friends and be encouraged along your own journey.

Hatha Yoga Classes

My classes are based around the traditional 84 asanas through which you can transform your body and mind.

“Ha” means sun.  This is the male(sun) energy which governs the right side of the body, from the left side of our brain, and is connected to our logical, rational mind.

“Ta” means moon.  This is the female (moon) energy which governs the left side of our body, from the right side of our brain, and is connected to our emotional, nurturing, compassionate qualities.

Hatha is about bringing a balance between the two using Prana and postures to balance the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of ourselves.

Prenatal Yoga Classes

I will provide:

A community/support network for you to meet like-minded mothers.

A physical practice to teach you how to make more space in your body to make it more comfortable, in seated and standing postures as well as relieving tension in achy muscles, especially the lower back, pelvis, shoulders and neck area.

Breathing excercises to help improve your sleep and lung capacity.

Meditative relaxation excercises to help you feel able to “go-with-the-flow” during your own individual birthing experience, to rest, relax and reconnect to your baby and your own body.

We will go through postures to increase your stamina ready for birth and early motherhood and positions that help get your baby into the optimal foetal position.

We will try out different birthing positions and build your self-confidence in your own ability to birth your baby.
